The Millau Viaduct bridge is the tallest bridge in the world with one mast's summit at 343.0 metres (1,125 ft) above the base of the structure. It is the 12th highest bridge deck in the world, being 270 metres (890 ft) between the road deck and the ground below. Millau Viaduct is part of the A75-A71 autoroute axis from Paris to Montpellier. Construction cost was approximately €400 million. It was formally inaugurated on 14 December 2004, and opened to traffic on 16 December. The bridge has been consistently ranked as one of the great engineering achievements of all time. The bridge received the 2006 International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering Outstanding Structure Award.

Bridge Nine Records is a contemporary hardcore punk record label located outside Boston, Massachusetts. Bridge Nine is owned by Chris Wrenn of Salem, Massachusetts, who began the label in 1995 and produced its first release in 1996. The label is named as a metaphor for what Wrenn wanted to do in creating the label: bridge all parts of the hardcore scene into one label and then put his lucky number (nine) in the title. Chinese engineers linked the two halves of the Beipanjiang Bridge in southwestern China on Saturday. Spanning the Beipan river, the bridge sits 565 metres (1,854 feet) above the ground. Uncle Jack, when i look back, sent a lot down to me. my mom would say we both seemed to be the life of the party. he was a picker, and a drinker. he took one step over the edge. a drinker, and he ended up with some debt i guess. nobody knows what really happened. the river was swollen when they found him in it, and it rained all weekend on the bridge leaving town. this is how i see it. this is not something i was told. i envisioned it to be dark, wet, and cold. if he jumped, or if he fell, no one knows. but ive got a different picture for each one of those. i was a baby. and we never really met, its really sad, i guess. he was a musician, just like his nephew and if he couldve i wouldve wanted him to teach me. but all i ever got from him, Uncle Jack, was his need to stop drinking.
